James Dunlop account book, 1820-1829.

The account book of James Dunlop of Ireland contains articles of agreement made at a meeting of master mariners for the purpose of forming an association in the town of Belfast, Ireland, for mutual relief and relief for their widows and children (1820). It also contains copies of letters pertaining to the firm of John Barbour and Sons and the business matters of a British commission merchant trading in Great Britain, the United States, Jamaica, and Barbados; as well as a daybook of fees for selling sugar, timber, tobacco, slaves, and other commodities (1825-1829).
